A Vegetarian Chocolate Pudding Recipe

Recipe: Creamy Chocolate Pudding

If you enjoy chocolate pudding, you'll really appreciate this delicious, old-fashioned chocolate pudding with no added fat and no cholesterol.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups soymilk or rice milk
3 tablespoons corn starch
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:

Whisk the soymilk or rice milk, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and the maple syrup together in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until pudding is thickened.
Stir in the vanilla and pour into individual serving dishes. Chill.

Tips:

Recipes using cocoa powder will tend to be much lower in fat than those using baker's chocolate.
