Acne & Homeopathy

This lady had acne from aged 24 and it had progressively worsened and had a diagnosis of cystic acne vulgaris or pyoderma facile.

When she came for treatment she had the most inflamed face I have ever seen. It was infected, swollen, broken and the skin was pouring with pus. She had been prescribed Roactin and pregnisolone to no avail by her G.P. The inflammation was from the nose down to below her jaw line. Her glands were raised and the skin took a long time to heal as the spots dried.

I prescrided Selenium ACE, Zinc and the homeopathic remedies Calc Sulph and Silica as well as Chelidonium herbal tincture to support the liver. After a month there was a good improvement. As the months went by a selection of remedies were used as the symptom picture changed. The spots eventually went and healed beautifully. She got married 6 months later and her skin is perfect. Of course the wedding photos came out better than she would have imagined with a flawless face.

She still comes for regular remedy top ups every few months and is doing wonderfully well.
