Allergies & Health Kinesology

A case study from Franky Kossy:

I have been a health kinesiologist since the year 2000 and it never ceases to amaze me how this therapy just manages to clean out all the psychological drips and draps that hold us back from what we want to be and how we want to do it.

Although I have never marketed myself with a niche specialty and consequently my practice is very diverse, I do find that most people understand kinesiology to be a method that tests for allergies. Many people with the unexplained related symptoms such as rashes, tummy upsets, bowel control, bloating, runny noses, tiredness and various aches and pains find their way to my office for allergy testing.

What happens instead is that the preferred priority work frequently concentrates on emotional issues and once those have been resolved so have all the unexplained symptoms. (In kinesiology the practitioner “listens to” the body for its scheme of work or priority work through the use of muscle testing.)

For instance, I recently had an 11 year old boy referred to me by another practitioner because it was thought that he was suffering from an MSG [monsodoium glutamate] allergy. Joel arrived with his mother with very red ears and a sluggish attitude. My usual practice is to take a few minutes and discuss any medical background and in doing this I am able to get a broader picture of what is happening in my clients’ life.

I learned that Joel’s behaviour at school and at home had changed dramatically after a very bad bout of flu almost a year ago. He was no longer the energetic happy good student and son. Instead he had turned into a difficult student talking out of turn, getting into trouble and at the same time he lacked the motivation and energy of a boy his age and had lost his interest in participating in sports as well. The so called MSG allergy was never diagnosed but this is what everyone thought was causing his changed behaviour.

Altogether I saw Joel four times over a period of six months and only on the last session did we actually address any allergy related work. Instead the scheme of work designed by his system focused on the loss of his grandfather and other male figures in his life - this had never been mentioned in the history taking of the first session. Almost immediately his energy levels stared changing and by the end of the treatment Joel became Joel again and even better!
