"I read this book at the behest of a friend who could see what I needed to read better than I could! I had left a job after a lifetime in the same profession. I was short of energy and ideas. I certainly did not feel like an artist despite my friend urging me to get painting! But I took what she recommended on trust and began to read 'The Artist's Way'.

"The Artist's Way offered (chapter by chapter) the most sensible and practical advice and strategies that got me into positive mode. It is a great book in that it allows you to gradually pick up the threads of your own innermost thoughts and begin to draw out your own talents and strengths. It is hot on quotes by the famous but don't let that get in your way. Over all it provides stepping stones that take your thinking forward step by step. It is very practical and realistic.

"I would recommend it to anybody, artist or not, who wants to get their life into order."
