Cancer research is primarily focussed on drug development. However cancer remission cases reveal that it is the personal response to a cancer diagnosis that matters; those who are shocked into seeing their life afresh and who make a big shift on a mental/emotional level and who choose to live i.e. to fulfil their potential, shed their negative feelings, start to believe in their own worth, lose their inertia …these are the survivors.

Clinic example
An 82 year old man had suffered bereavement. He began to experience severe pains in his shoulder and upper back; eating pastry could initiate an attack. He lost his appetite, felt sick, had indigestion, chest pains, feverish bouts, and developed jaundice. Hospital investigations revealed a tumour of the bile duct. Due to his age they were reluctant to operate. I prescribed the homeopathic remedy Aconite (this provided rapid relief from the acute pain) followed by an herbal tincture to support his liver, and homeopathic Hydrastis which is known for its tumour-reducing properties. Over a four month period his pains subsided, his appetite returned and he regained some weight. The jaundice disappeared and he became more active; I think his singing in a male voice choir proved to be a very healthy outlet, boosting his emotional well-being. A subsequent CT scan was reported as ‘inconclusive’. He was asked to re-attend for additional scans but the hospital Consultant was confounded; the block to the bile duct was no longer showing.

Now 85 years old, this man continues to lead an active life with no recurrence of symptoms.

Hydrastis has a particular affinity for the liver and bile duct. Cancers that form in other body organs would call for different remedies. E.g. breast cancer relates to the ovaries; suppression of the natural female cycle with synthetic hormones is highly significant in this respect – underlying any cancer you will find suppression in some form or another.
