Chirokinetic Therapy

Chirokinetic Therapy by Maria Aristidou

Tapping into the body’s energy.

There are times when a therapy works so well but yet it’s difficult to understand why – almost like magic. Chirokinetic Therapy (CKT) is one of those therapies. Its results are amazing yet its concept is difficult to grasp.

As a practitioner of Chirokinetic Therapy, trying to explain why a gentle adjustment to the skull can cause a dramatic change in bodily functions and over come allergies, is tricky, but the amazing success rate of this relatively new, cutting-edge therapy speaks for itself.

In today’s environment the human immune system is under attack from mental, physical, environmental and emotional stress. It’s no wonder it fights back and brings on a range of nagging ailments including allergies to foods, pollens, house dust mites, perfumes, household cleaners, water and so on.

While most people have some allergies, some are not even aware of them. Others find the pollen season a nightmare, and at worst allergic reactions can be potentially life-threatening.

CKT identifies allergies and problem areas in the body via muscle testing techniques. Patients are asked to lie still with their right arm against the body. The therapist tries to pull the arm away from their side and the patient is asked to try to resist the pull. At the same time they are asked to touch specific parts of their own bodies with the other hand, or hold small bottles of substances which they might be allergic to such wheat, milk, fruit and so on.

The therapist can tell where the weaknesses lie according to whether or not the arm resists their pressure. For instance, if someone is allergic to dairy products the muscle in the arm will react weakly when they hold a small phial of milk in their hand.

What usually happens when people discover what they are allergic to is that they have to avoid it. What makes Chirokinetics so different is that people don’t have to give up what they are allergic to. The small amount of manipulation given, changes the body’s response and enables it to tolerate foods, chemicals and other allergens.

Chirokinetic Therapy works on the principle that allergic reactions, migraines, constipation, eczema, asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure and many more are symptoms of a prime cause. Once this has been corrected all the manifestations disappear.

CKT was pioneered in 1997 by David Stevens and recent pilot trials into the effects of Chirokinetic in anaphylaxia have shown CKT to be both safe and effective. CKT is available at various locations throughout the UK.
