Irregular Periods And Homeopathy by Clare Wassermann

Woman age 34 with irregular periods since her last pregnancy.

A patient who I have seen from time to time regarding problems in pregnancy came to see me a while ago regarding her periods which have not settled down since the birth of her last child 11 months ago.

Her first period since the birth was soon after finishing breast feeding but the blood loss was heavy and every two weeks. These periods were getting heavier and understandably were alarming the patient . At ovulation time there was also a brown gooey jelly like discharge.

Her emotions were up and down and she was not sleeping well at all which is unusual for her.

She was also getting repeated cold sores, feeling low and worrying that her iron levels were low as she was getting symptoms as if this were the case.

I prescribed Folliculinum 9c, Pulsatilla 30c and Ferrum Phos 6x in homeopathic tablet form.

A review some time later found that her periods were regular from taking the homeopathic treatment and she was feeling generally much much better. She had been a little low before her period but not emotionally unstable.

There had been no return of cold sores and she was sleeping really well.
