Improving Learning Awareness with Kinesiology by Diane Piette
Paul, aged 41, came to see me for the 6 weeks' program, as he was experiencing some difficulties with writing and reading. During the first session, we went through an evaluation test to define the areas Paul found stressful to do. We did it using
muscle testing which is the equivalent of asking the body directly what to look at but also to indicate at what age the blockages happened and most importantly what caused them. His challenges were adding up figures, reading out loud, writing without including capital letters in the middle of words, confidence and anger issues.
Each week, I gave Paul an exercise to do daily (such as co-ordination exercises, affirmations etc.) until the next session. We also identified a couple of important events in his childhood, especially at school, which created the blind spot in the learning process. We defused them using gentle, non invasive kinesiology techniques.
After 3 weeks, Paul reported that his writing was improving, with less capital letters in the middle of words. He also said that he felt less angry and didn’t put himself into fights or trouble anymore.
We kept on defusing past stressful events as well as “re-programming” letters and numbers into the brain.
During our last, sixth session, Paul told me he was amazed at the changes. His writing was now fluid, no more capital letters in words, his memory was improving, he was avoiding confrontation, adding figures was not a problem anymore. Paul also started learning a new language. He even got over his fear of dogs which was an issue during our work together. Reading out loud was getting easier and the text was starting to make sense.
The emotional stress causing dyslexia can vary from a teacher picking on you, bullies, having been labelled ‘slow’, negative verbal input from family members such as : you’re stupid, you will never achieve anything, don’t even try, you’re useless! Etc…
It is very important to address these first otherwise the blind learning spots will stay and reduce dramatically our chances to enjoy the learning process.
This programme is truly remarkable and as shown in the success story, works not only for children but for adults too. Learning should and can be enjoyable and the three-in-one concepts of
Kinesiology are aimed towards achieving that goal.
