Florence Spencer sent in this case study of a client who had had osteoarthritis for 10 years:
The osteoarthritis had started in her lower spine. A few years later arthritic changes developed in her thumb joints and feet. Over the years the pain had increased and this constant pain, together with restriction of movement and general stiffness, had been interfering with her daily life. Her sleep has been broken with constantly having to move to ease the pain in her back and having to prop herself up on several pillows. Acute stiffness in the morning meant descending the stairs one at a time, and having to wait an hour or more before she could bend to put on her socks and shoes. The pain in her thumb joints had caused difficulty with simple tasks like washing up and handling dishes. Her walking had been restricted because of the pain in her feet and stiffness afterwards.
The client sat up throughout the sessions and I use the forearm to muscle test (as in kinesiology). Firstly I established that muscle test was giving the correct response to questions that have only a yes/no answer. Then I checked for psychological reversal, did she believe at a conscious and subconscious level that she could get better. This required changing and all the corrections were carried out immediately and in the same manner.
Either side of the client’s spine was stimulated while she breathe in a prescribed manner. The procedure is conducted while clothed and the stimulation is gentle and quick. With each correction I instructed the body to release and eliminate all negative memory at a cellular level, again while stimulating the spine with the breathing pattern. The removal of negative cellular memory is so important to the body's ability to change and return to health.
Then I checked in my osteoarthritis kit to see she had a positive response to an external pathogen factor that is common to all sufferers of arthritis. The answer was definite so I instructed the body to deactivate the pathogen. This is a verbal command while stimulating the spine. As a result of a deactivation I had to check that her body would be ably to detoxify correctly.
After this first session she reported that sleeping was better and immediately on leaving her spirits rose. The procedure from this point was to recheck that the external pathogen was completely deactivated.
The previous work was to deactivate the pathogen, but even when that is achieved, the immune system still thinks that the joint is a 'foreign' body due to the alterations that have taken place when the immune system tried to rid the body of the pathogen. Immune system attacks continue in the joint structure, and it is these that we now address with six vials relating to the joint structure. One of these vials shows where the current attack is taking place. A correction is given to the immune system to cease the attack in this area, again using stimulation etc.
Only one vial could be treated at a time in the next three sessions, so the complete process requires at least seven sessions. In the case of this client we also needed to work on the pain protocol, the autonomic nervous system and neurological system dysfunction from the advanced Jaffe-Mellor technique.
Throughout I followed the wisdom of my clients’ body using muscle testing as access to the information and as to the corrections that she required and included some kinesiology and emotional release techniques.
I received this testimonial from the client:
In November 2004 I started a course of treatment with Florence Spencer using the Jaffe-Mellor technique. After one treatment I felt a general lightness of spirit and started sleeping better. My sleeping pattern continued to improve so that I now usually enjoy unbroken sleep lying flat.
After 10 treatments sessions the constant pain in my spine, feet and hands has now diminished and the stiffness has gone almost completely, to such an extent that I can descend the stairs normally and bend to but my socks on within minutes of waking up. My thumb joints have become stronger and I can now wash up and lift heavy dishes without causing too much discomfort.
While still enduring considerable pain if I put undue stress on an arthritic joint, the decrease in general pain and increased mobility has been considerable. I would recommend the Jaffe-Mellor Technique to anyone suffering from any degree of arthritic pain."
Over a year later without further treatment this client continues to enjoy the improvements in her health that she outlined above.
