Bi-Aura -  Energy Healing by Annie Wade

Healing by energy has been in use for thousands of years.  It is thought to have originated in the cultures of China or the eastern world.  It may seem far-fetched and you may wonder how and why it can work, as it does not involve taking tablets or being stretched, kneaded or pummelled into better health.  It does not involve pain or needles, exercise or special diets and therefore seems beyond our understanding, so how can it work?

Science has proved we have an ‘aura’ or bio energy field.  Recent developments in physics have resulted in instruments being invented which can measure a person’s energy from a distance and the energy emanating from a human heart has been measured from fifteen feet away.  All energy is limitless, powerful and constantly available.

When we talk about using energy to heal, it always raises an eyebrow or two!  You cannot see energy but if someone took the oxygen out of the room you are in, even though you cannot see it, you would soon find it hard to breathe.  We know we need oxygen to survive and do not question that it is all around us, even though we cannot see it.  It is the same with energy but you CAN feel it. 

How many times have you watched a concert where you can feel the energy of the performers and it has lifted you?  Have you ever been moved to tears by a performance of an actor who plays a part so well, you actually feel the pain they are portraying?  Have you ever been in a situation where everyone ‘feels’ unhappy – a “bad atmosphere” - and it has left you feeling drained and tired?  Have you ever had a really heated argument where you felt as if you are winning and you felt energised and ready to take on the world?  Conversely, an argument you have lost which left you feeling tired and deflated, hurt and inadequate because you couldn’t make the other person hear your point of view.  Or did they just shout you down, which made you feel really angry and unable to let go and forgive because they belittled you?  Were you left with a feeling of having been bullied into submission and powerless to respond?

These are examples of how we can receive or give away our energy without even understanding what we are doing.  These are examples of energy at work and we feel it because, like oxygen, it is always around us and we take it in and give it out, just as we breathe in and out.  Without energy, we would be static and lifeless.

When we feel lifted, it is because we are taking in the positive energy all around us and it makes us feel really good.  When we feel deflated by other people, it is because our energy is being drained by negativity or we have a sense of lost power and we don’t know how to stop it flowing away from us or how to replenish what we have lost.

Over a period of time, our energy can become blocked for many reasons.  Sometimes it can happen very quickly, other times it may take years.  Whether it is a long term situation which we learn to live with or a sudden trauma, we take on board many things which we then find hard to let go of and this is how blockages occur. 

Bi-aura therapists are trained to locate these blockages within the body’s bio field.  We use our hands as magnets to locate the ‘problem’ areas and then to cleanse these areas and get the energy flowing again.   The best metaphor I have heard regarding the body’s energy field and vortexes is to view it as a flowing river with seven ponds.  Starting at the bottom pond (the base of the spine) and moving upwards through the body to the top pond (the crown of the head).  The river should flow without hindrance but when blockages occur, in some places the river is reduced to a trickle. The energy cannot get through.  This can happen in one, a few or all of the seven ponds.  It is as if each pond has it’s own beaver building a dam and stopping the flow.  In some cases our energy centres can overflow – perhaps the dam bursts and there is a mass of energy in one area but a blockage in another where the dam is still in place.  Whatever the cause and whether the energy centre is blocked or bursting, there is an imbalance within our energy and therefore, an imbalance within our bodies.

Illness stems from imbalance and this is where bi-aura therapy proves to be very effective.  Once the balance has been restored within the bio field and the energy centres are cleared of blockages or overflows, the energy resumes its natural flow around the body and health is restored.  In some cases the changes are almost immediate, in others they may take a little time.  Each case is different and people all respond differently to treatment but everyone responds.

Bi-aura therapy involves asking you to commit to four sessions and for most of each session you will be asked to stand, although we do ‘treat’ you to a sit down and force you to put your feet up during treatment!  For clients who feel unable to stand, we can work around you whilst you sit.  There is very little physical contact and the only items of clothing we ask you to remove are your shoes and heavy items of jewellery such as watches.  Therapists work around you, not ‘on’ you but that does not mean you will not feel what is happening to you.  There is some physical contact but only in areas such as the shoulders, head, back and knees.  You will hear nice, gentle music, smell the delicate smell of an aromatherapy candle and we do offer you a nice glass of water after treatment but other than that, there is definitely no pampering!  After four sessions you will feel better and if you feel you want to continue with treatment or ‘top up’ occasionally, then that is your choice.

Bi-aura practitioners do not heal people; they restore the flow of energy to the body allowing the body to start and continue the healing process.  People who are ready to let go of pain and illness and the causes of their problems will heal themselves.
